In the compassionate spirit of Jenna Nicole Burleigh, Jenna’s Blessing Bags Foundation strives to improve the current and future quality of life of the homeless population.
Vision
Through the collection and distribution of clothing, personal hygiene supplies, and foodstuffs the foundation works to improve the lives of the homeless population. By cooperating with partner organizations, Jenna’s Blessing Bags Foundation hopes to provide a platform for the homeless population to advance toward self-sustainability.
About Jenna
Jenna Burleigh was a daughter, sister, cousin, friend, activist and artist. She was truly someone special who worked to spread good vibes to everyone she met. Jenna lived every day 100% proud of who she was. Unlike most people who strive to fit into societal norms, Jenna was unapologetically herself. Jenna’s life was a work of art. Each day started as a blank canvas that she painted beautifully with kindness, love, and acceptance.
As a young woman, Jenna became an active agent for social change, namely supporting the homeless. With kindness and compassion, she distributed Blessing Bags filled with essentials to the homeless community of Philadelphia. In 2017, while a 22 year old student at Temple University, Jenna's life was tragically taken. Her mission to spread love, peace, and equality persists as the Burleigh family launched Jenna's Blessing Bags in her memory. Today, JBB distributes backpacks filled with essentials for men and women in need. Each bag is built with the same love that beat in Jenna's heart and finished with a Jenna’s Blessing Bags tag. These tags share what Jenna stood for in her own words: “l truly believe in the good in people and the magic that can be found in all of us. I will always fight for what’s right. I will always fight for equality for all.” Come join the fight.
